Migrations and Global Mobility – Sharing approaches and practices
“Today, the number of people living outside their country of birth is larger than at any other time in history” (UNFPA). The majority of migrants leave their country in search of better economic and social opportunities. Others are forced to escape from crisis situations. Others again are moving because their careers have become boundaryless. How does the life of people in transition affect interaction and adaptation? How can we overcome barriers to achieve more sustainable working and living models in the years to come?
With this conference SIETAR Italia contributes to the debate about the impacts of migration and global mobility. There are no simple and straightforward solutions, but as Interculturalists we are playing a critical role in developing global intercultural visions and cross-cultural competencies.
This conference offers participants latest knowledge on intercultural practices and research. Italian and international managers, philosophers, academics and consultants share their insights and experiences. This is also an exceptional opportunity for networking and learning more about best practices and tools.
