The speaker will refer to specific approaches and simulations to be used during the second language (L2/SL) and foreign-language (FL) labs by lecturers or other practitioners (teachers, trainers, and language coaches) who have chosen inter-culture as the positive objective of education.

Intercultural education is able to guarantee cognitive and anthropological enrichment, broadening the cultural horizon, and leading the learner to a multi-cultural identity.
The (virtual) classroom becomes a social laboratory (learner-centered) where thoughts transform into words and words transform into actions.
During the workshop, it will be addressed a focus on a certain number of educational approaches and practical tools able to assist the learner in increasing the awareness of linguistic diversity. The lecturer will have the opportunity to understand and intervene when some phenomena such as linguistic interference and /or cultural interference take over.
It will follow the study the speaker did on the factors that affect learner participation in language labs as well as the conclusions she came to. There is a link between learners’ needs (Maslow pyramid) with some humanistic psychology guidelines (Carl Rogers), the Natural Approach theory (Stephen Krashen), and the leadership model (Transformational model) actuated by lecturers. There is also a link with transformative coaching through the Awareness-Clarity-Choice Conversation (Dr. Ben Koh).
Through specific questions aimed to expand the learner’s mind [“What else do you think needs to happen?”] the lecturer brought forth new possibilities to learners.
Said model, whether properly understood and applied by the practitioners, should be able to guarantee the SL/FL acquisition, and the intercultural recognition of the class approach
