The GLOBAL TEAM first night play session with Maria Todosiychuk.

The Earth is on the brink of extinction. A few survivors from different parts of the globe meet to combine efforts and develop a strategy to save the Planet.
Not only are they different, but they are also superheroes with their superpowers and individual vulnerabilities, which makes their team work a little bit complicated.
Will they find their way as a team, agree about the strategy, and save the Earth?
This game is a practical tool for intercultural educators in a diverse team work, cross-cultural empathy, cross-cultural sensitivity and agility.

This interactive session will explore hands-on the nature of gaming, why games are effective learning and community building exercises. We will look at the various kinds of games for use in both face-to-face as well as online play, discussing how to choose and adapt them to both learn about cultures and connect people across cultures.
We will investigate variations in how games are perceived, accepted and used in diverse cultures, asking when competition is and is not appropriate. We will address the importance of the basic elements of game facilitation and debrief in both real and online gaming sessions.
